| 09h30 Meet your guides | Meet your guides at the Mamre Moravian Church, listen to your pre-departure briefing and sign your indemnity forms |
| 11h00 Donkey Trail starts | Board your donkey cart, settle in for your guided, interpreted tour through Mamre |
| 12h30 Lunch break | Enjoy a home-made Mamre country style lunch next to the “Mooimaak Rivier” (the local river running through the town of Mamre) ala picnic style. |
| 13h30 Donkey Trail starts | Second part of the tour (one hour); opportunity to purchase local organically growth vegetables along the banks of the river. |
| 14H30 Finish | Return to the Mamre Information Centre. Farewell and drive home Jou lekker ding! |
The attractions to your tour include:
- Moravian Church – was completed in 1818 and is the oldest building in South Africa
- Graveyard – 1820 Oldest graveyard
- The long house served as the barracks for the garrison between 1701 and 1791
- Parsonage is the oldest building in Mamre. Served as the home of the sergeant in charge but today serves as the home of the minister of the church
- Old shop/Restaurant
- The Cook house
- The Old School vs New School (built in 1993 first School built after Nelson Mandela was released)
- Water Mill
- Old Gaol
- Aunty Marie house
- Tall House – only house in original form
* If travelling from Cape Town, you should leave one hour before the start of tour. This will allow you to enjoy the scenic coastal drive to Mamre.
